We were totally unprepared and played like it. Penalties, sacks, missed assignments, taking bad angles, failure to wrap up, you name it we did it. And yet it took OK 4 ot's to beat us. Imagine what could have been with better coaching. Actually you could say the same thing about ISU. And that's what I think of the 2020 horns the team that could have.
Looking back now the 3 best games of Sam's career were the 2 wins against OK and GA and last years OK game. We lost but Sam Ehlinger was a true gladiator out there. He willed to get us that far there was no one else on the offense he put his team actually he put the school on his back. And when his ol wasn't getting called for penalties, they were giving up sacks. After the game he had the look of a man who had taken a number of shots, had grass stains all over his jersey. And there he was at the end standing tall and throwing up the Hookem. What a competitor.
