“Keep your face always toward the sunshine - and shadows will fall behind you.” - Walt Whitman
Well, yesterday’s game was quite an example of this quote. At the end of the game we had sunshine being up 16 and then all of the sudden we see shadows of defeat that reared their ugly head. I admit, I had my doubts that we would pull that win off. I’m just glad our team stayed focused on the sunshine and not the shadows, they could have easily caved and given up.
Looking ahead to Ohio State, we can easily look for the shadows with their impressive win over undefeated Oregon, but I hope I can muster up the sunshine within the next 8 days instead of focusing on any shadows.
Our lives can mirror the above, we can get lost in the shadows when things don’t go as planned, but we need to shift our focus to the sunshine in our lives that we can be grateful for.
Let’s move into the light and out of the darkness my friends!
