“I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.” - Jimmy Dean

I really like this analogy. On the seas of life, we will face headwinds on our journey, some stop us in our tracks, others push us behind schedule, and some make us crash upon the shore. Making adjustments can be a huge challenge.

I like to think that our Creator knows where we need to end up; it may not be where we would choose to find ourselves. I can think of several places I wanted to go, but I never reached them. Another sea lane would open up and I found myself in the exact place I needed to land, even though the place I landed was not a happy place at that time. What I needed was to recognize how I got there and what I needed to learn from it so I can set sail for the next stop.

There are many more places I want to go. Now, I try my best to see if my course is one my Creator wants me to sail on before I hastily launch my trip.

I’d like to have the winds at my back and heading in the right direction rather than fighting headwinds of my own making in the wrong direction.

Stay tuned in to our Captain Creator…much smoother sailing or at least someone to guide you through the storms of life.

Take good care my friends!
