This one above is a dagger to my chest. I can’t count how many times something has come out of my mouth or from my keyboard that I wish I never said or posted in the first place.
Our tongue can be a huge blessing or curse. I could post tons of examples of violations to the quote above just from this board as well as the inspiring, well wishes when one of us is in trouble.
Too many relationships are ruined by our tongues, tweets, social media posts. I understand that in today’s climate of instant news and access to speak whatever is on our minds is so tempting, but as Beret says, maybe we should slow down our instant gratification and pause to think about how what we say will affect others.
I’m first in line as guilty, I can do better, I just need to reflect before acting.
Let us try to bless rather than curse.
