"A friend is someone who gives you total freedom to be yourself." - Jim Morrison

I imagine that most of us have different types of friend relationships. Some are acquaintances and if we are blessed, we have one or a handful of close friends who we can be totally open with and trust that they will not compromise our privacy.

Having a close friend, a best friend, takes time and commitment. I have found my best friends take time to truly listen and not judge me when I share something private. This type of friend cannot be a one-sided deal, one must be willing to be the same when a friend shares something private as well.

If you don’t have such a friend, it’s been my experience that it takes a willingness to take the time to build that type of trust by being trustworthy yourself first, then hopefully trust will be built from their side.

It is a true blessing to have a friend you can feel free to tell anything without fear of judgement or having your deepest thoughts exposed to the world.

I encourage y’all to be that type of friend.

Blessing to you all!
