“Ultimately, you just have one life. You never know unless you try. And you never get anywhere unless you ask.” - Kate Winslet

I grew up under the best sales mentor I’d ever met, my dad. He was very successful at his sales job and rose up to be a VP at his company. One thing he taught me was to always ask for the business after presenting all of the benefits of the product I was selling, he’d say, “If you don’t ask, you don’t get”.

This is not only true in the sales profession, but in life in general. I’ve come across many friends, family, and colleagues that are just too afraid to risk being rejected or fear failure. Sure, you might lose a sale or fail at a project, but if you don’t ask or don’t try, you’ve lost/failed already.

Most of the retired people I’ve talked to say their biggest regrets are the risks they DIDN’T take, not the ones they did and failed at.

I encourage you to take reasonable risks you are passionate about. If you want to make a positive change in your life, go for it!

Be careful out there my friends!
