Oh man does this ring true for me. This quote hit me hard because it reminded me of a show I was watching, don’t remember the name of it right now, but it was raunchy, shouldn’t have been watching it.
There was scene where one character was cussing out another over something perceived wrong against them. It wasn’t long after watching this scene that my wife and I got into a little argument and I said some very unkind words to my wife that as soon as it came out of my mouth, I apologized…UGH!
I felt terrible and realized that this came from that bad seed planted in my brain. I stopped watching that series. I’m grateful I have a very forgiving wife, she also regretted what she said to me that started the argument, but the words I spoke should have never come out of my mouth and never will again.
This reminds me of another phrase, “garbage in garbage out”. I need to be weary of what I watch and read to protect my mind and heart from committing wrongs against others.
