“Everyone has a plan ’till they get punched in the mouth.”—Mike Tyson

Well, it’s a Monday after our first and hopefully last loss of the football season. I’m sure Sark can relate to the above quote. He had a plan going into the GA game and we got punched in the mouth by the GA defense. Now what?

Sometimes we get punched in the mouth in this journey of life despite the best laid out plans and hopes that we have created.

I, for example, for the past few weeks have had a health scare that came out of nowhere and it has made me take a new perspective on what’s really important in my life. I have a test tomorrow to rule out the worst-case scenario and to hopefully confirm the best-case scenario, but it is scary to consider the worst outcome. It’s easy to become anxious and go down a dark train of thought road. But through the help of my family and the prayers of those here on OB, I’m feeling better about how all this will play out.

So, if you’ve been “punched in the mouth” recently and your best laid plans are in ruins, take this opportunity to reflect on what’s most important and what you are most grateful for and focus on those things to get you back up on your feet and move ahead keeping the hope of better days in front of you.

Be careful out there my TG friends!
