“No amount of regret can change the past. No amount of anxiety can change the future. Any amount of gratitude will change the present.” —Various
I imagine a LOT of people are feeling anxious after the election. I’ve seen dozens of Tik Tok videos posted on OB of people freaking out over the results and it makes me sad for those people.
We’ve discussed anxiety before in the TG threads, but I think it’s worth repeating that most, if not all, of our fears rarely come to fruition and all of that energy is wasted on worry about things that most likely will not come to pass. A lot of that energy can cause destructive behaviors that affect our family and friends as well as people we may meet along the way.
I suggest we all take a DEEP breath and try to focus on things we can control in our sphere of influence and the one thing we CAN control is our attitude. Thoughts of gloom, despair, and agony on me don’t help. Sure, we can vent for a while, but then we have to live our lives but focusing on the negative leads us to an unhappy, unfulfilled life.
Let’s try to be grateful for what we have today so that our tomorrows will provide us with a happier future.

Be careful out there my TG friends!
