This quote brings up for me a couple of random thoughts.
Imagine you are an Aggie fan…I know…an abhorrent thought, but indulge me for a few seconds. You are undefeated in SEC play to date, you’re feeling on top of the world, you start boasting how great you are and then BOOM, South Carolina happens…oh boy…back down to earth.
It happens, when everything is going right it’s tempting to become a bit arrogant or full of ourselves and we might fall prey to thinking we are better than others. I’ve been there too many times in personal life and in business. It only takes one unfortunate incident or bad decision to bring us back down to reality that life can be really hard at times.
Keeping a humble state of mind is a challenge, but one worth striving for to keep us balanced.
