I love this quote. It reminds me of times when my business competitors would throw bricks/or dirt at me or my product and they ended up losing ground. I’ve never embraced the idea of trying to build yourself or your product/company up by tearing down another. I always believed that if you are in a competitive situation, you should show where your product is similar to the competitor but add at least 3 things your product has in addition to what your competitor provides. This way you are not insulting your customer’s intelligence.
Ok, now I’ll get off my sales 101 soapbox.
In other areas of life, often people will throw dirt your way just to make themselves feel or look better. It happens all the time on OB, but what they don’t realize is, it just makes them look worse.
The only exception is when we are discussing aggroids or OU.
