I had to think about the first part of this quote a bit; the more I think about it, I can believe it. What I say typically is what I already know. Most people speak about what they know or at least what they think they know and believe. It may not be correct, but nonetheless, they aren’t learning anything new in their minds.

I’ve noticed that most miscommunication is a result of each party trying to get out what they believe first, before listening to the other party. And even if they appear to be listening, often they are NOT, because they are trying to think of what they want to say next while the other is speaking.

Our Creator gave us two ears and one mouth, I suggest we use them in that proportion.
