I heard an interview Larry David gave recently and I learned that his parents wanted him to be a mailman, not a bad career at all, but it wasn’t what HE wanted to do. So, he did odd jobs until he went into a comedy club one night to hear some stand-up comics and he said to himself… “I can do that!”
The rest you know is history, he helped create Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm, and he just wrapped up his final season.
Sometimes we do need to wander a bit to figure out what it is we were meant/called to do in this life. It can take a very long time for some. Among other things I always wanted to do, I tried to work on a construction site before I started college, the first day I injured myself by stepping on a nail that went through my shoe, which was the end of my construction career.
I pray that all who read this discover what it is you are meant to do in this life.
