“If there is no struggle, there is no progress.” –Frederick Douglass
We’ve seen many examples of this in our own country. Our country was founded by the struggle to gain freedom from the King of England. Social struggles helped us abolish slavery, gain voting rights for women, and countless wars fought to free the world from dictators like Hitler.
Personal growth comes from struggles with addiction, relationship setbacks, health issues, temptations, and financial challenges. All these types of struggles remind us that we are not guaranteed a struggle free life, in fact, quite the opposite. Our Creator tells us that we will face trials in our life, but rather than give up, we can turn to Him and find peace.
May you find peace if you are currently struggling. Get close to the One who can provide you peace beyond your understanding.
Proverbs 3:5-6, Corinthians 10:13, Philippians 4:6-7
