Be On Guard Against the Pit of Despair
When you are weary or feeling unwell, the greatest threat is giving in to those feelings, it’s a demonic trap we can fall into. If you get too close, the edges of the pit can crumble, and you can fall in. Once you are in, it’s much harder to get out than to keep a safe distance.
There are many ways to protect yourself from self-pity. One way is to consistently praise your Creator. When you are thanking Him, it’s much harder to focus on yourself. The closer you live with Him, the more distance you have between you and the pit of despair. Live in the light of His presence, fixing your eyes on Him, and then you can run the race of life with endurance without stumbling or falling as much along the way.
