The Victorious Life
I sometimes see some great devotional themes and this one seems timely based on the feedback from my last TG.
What is a victorious/successful life? Some might say a life without big mistakes, not stumbling, being able to afford whatever material things one wants, etc. Doing things on their own terms which can lead to taking credit for this “success” and sometimes forgetting about their Creator.
Our Creator would argue a victorious life is having dependence on Him. It’s not about Him blessing your desires or what YOU want to do all the time. It is more about having an open mind and allowing Him to plant His desires for you to take root. It may be dreams for you that you haven’t even thought about, thus things you cannot achieve on your own. This begins a journey with Him that includes your reliance on Him.
It is a faithful walk, with one step at a time, leaning on Him as you go. It can be a path that includes failures, but those failures can be growth spurts, fueled by a growing dependence on Him. We can enjoy a victorious life by deepening our dependence on our Creator.
My prayer for you all is to walk victoriously.
Psalm 34:17-18 & 2 Corinthians 5:7
