Become a worry-slapper. Treat frets like mosquitoes. Do you procrastinate when a bloodsucking bug lights on your skin? 'I'll take care of it in a moment.' Of course you don't! You give the critter the slap it deserves. Be equally decisive with anxiety. - Max Lucado

I am a mosquito magnet. If I know there are going to be around me, I have to put on mosquito repellent or I will get eaten alive.

As Max Lucado says above…we don’t procrastinate slapping these blood sucking bugs, we swat them away as fast as we can. If only we could do the same when a worry enters our mind, i.e., squash them as soon as they appear. Worries can be blood sucking as well. They drain us of life giving energy and strength.

Like a bug repellent, we need to cover ourselves with His message of grace and protection. We should put on the armor of our Creator to repel the arrows of the enemy of our souls.

Ephesians 6:10-18
