Nothing is more bothersome to me than retiring. Weird things happen when you disengage; first you get negative, then you start telling people about your latest surgeries, and eventually you lose touch. I want to stay in touch. - Charles R. Swindoll
This one made me laugh. I had dinner with some friends recently and we spent the first 30 or so minutes discussing our health issues. We talked about our most recent physicals, what prescriptions we are on, what nutritional supplements we are taking; it was interesting, and eye opening.
One thing we all agreed on is we need to keep our minds active and to engage with others so that we don’t become isolated, bitter, unproductive people.
Another big takeaway was to keep moving, even a walk outside a few times or more a week will keep you healthier and allow your mind to clear as well as remind you of our Creator’s creation.
Here’s to your good health my friends, stay active!
