It’s The YEAST You Can Do
Yeast is a small but powerful ingredient, often used in our Creator’s Word as a metaphor for both good and bad influences. It can represent sin and corruption, but it can also symbolize growth and the expanding power of the Creator’s kingdom.
Yeast is often used as a metaphor for sin and its corrupting influence. Just as a small amount of yeast affects an entire batch of dough, sin can spread and influence every part of our lives if not removed. Jesus and Apostle Paul both warned believers to be cautious of the “yeast” of sinful influences.
While yeast can represent sin, Jesus also used it to illustrate the power of His kingdom. Just as yeast works through dough, His kingdom starts small but grows and transforms everything it touches.
Also, Jesus frequently used yeast as a warning against the corrupting influence of false teaching. He urged His followers to be discerning and not allow false doctrines to take root in their faith.
We are called to live pure and holy lives, free from the “yeast” of sin. Just as the Israelites were commanded to remove yeast from their homes, believers are to remove sin from their lives and follow Christ wholeheartedly. Of course it is a tall task, but striving each day is worth the effort.
That’s the YEAST of it my friends.
