Did You Ever Want To Be Famous?
When I was in college, I wanted to be a comedian and be one of the cast members on Saturday Night Live. I could make impressions of many famous people in the 80’s. I never really pursued it fully; I was too busy working and going to school at the same time.
Many people strive for fame, believing it will bring happiness and fulfillment. However, Scripture teaches that our ultimate goal should be to seek God’s kingdom rather than human recognition. True joy comes from serving our Creator, not from the approval of others.
Seeking fame for selfish reasons can lead to pride and destruction. We are warned against the pursuit of glory for ourselves and reminds us that pride comes before a fall. True greatness is found in humility and servanthood.
God sometimes allows people to gain fame, but it should be used for His glory rather than for personal gain. Those who have influence are called to point others to Christ and use their platform to spread His love and truth.
While worldly fame fades, God honors those who remain faithful to Him. True reward comes not from human applause but from hearing God say, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” The greatest recognition we can receive is from the Lord Himself.
Seek the audience of ONE my friends.
