Fork In The Road

There have been several forks in my life’s road. After graduating high school, I wasn’t sure of what major to study, I eventually changed it after my second year. Then came deciding what job to seek, and later a decision on whether to quit a job I hated to start a new business. My list is long of life changing decisions.

When we are unsure of the path ahead, trusting in God’s wisdom over our own understanding brings peace and clarity. God promises to guide us when we surrender our ways to Him. When confusion clouds our minds, God offers His peace. He calls us to surrender our worries to Him, knowing that He is in control.

Sometimes, not knowing what to do means waiting on God’s timing. Though waiting can be difficult, God strengthens those who trust in Him. Even when we don’t understand what is happening, God has a greater plan. We can trust that His ways are higher than ours.

When we don’t know what to do, prayer is our greatest resource. Through prayer, we seek God’s guidance, wisdom, and strength for the journey ahead. Walking by faith means trusting Jesus even when we cannot see the whole picture. He calls us to believe in His promises and step forward with confidence.

The greatest example I recall of seeking His will and not our own was when Jesus was in the garden praying for a way out of having to go to the cross. So much pain to go through for the greater good…Matthew 26:39.
