“A dead end is just a good place to turn around.” — Naomi Judd

For those of us who are battling an addiction, this above quote will ring true, hopefully before a total disaster. Some of us have been going down the wrong road a long time only to finally hit a dead end or maybe as others would say, hit rock bottom.

I have a friend who lost his mother and father within a year, and later, turned over control of his business to a new leader. That is a ton of loss to go through in such a short time. He’s had good days and bad after all he’s been through. It’s hard to see someone you care about go through such a tough time. All I’ve been able to do is to be available to listen, i.e. to be a heart with two ears. So far I don’t think he’s reached out for help and that makes me sad.

Others of us may hit a dead-end job, relationship, or sense of purpose.

If you have reached a dead-end situation, try to see it as the time and place to turn around and start a new life journey. Change, even for the better, can be hard to do. Seeking wise counsel and help from your Creator can help you get back on a correct course for your life.

Don’t suffer alone, reach out for help.
