"You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it." — Margaret Thatcher

The quote above made me think of Dippy Dawg. His passion was to help those who battled addictions. One thing I learned from his TG posts was that the battle to overcome an addiction was a daily battle, one day at a time to fight to stay sober. With each small victory, you can gain the confidence to win the war against addiction.

It starts with a commitment that TODAY, I’m going to stay sober. Faith, friends, family, and counseling are all allies in the fight to win this daily battle.

For others, just getting out of bed can be a battle, stemming from various setbacks/losses that all of us may face as we go through life’s journey. Health issues, lost relationships, lost job, death of a loved one, etc.

I remember at the end of my pharma rep career, I felt hopeless, I hated going to work, but I had people counting on me to provide for them. I felt trapped. Fortunately, my faith, family, and friends helped me squeeze out of that tough spot and I took a leap of faith to try something new and it paid off.

My hope and prayer for you all is that if you feel trapped or stuck in a fight for your life, that you keep fighting and look for others to join you in the battle. Don’t fight the battles alone, seek help if needed from others and your Creator, don’t let pride get in the way of your recovery or challenges of the day.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your week!
