Before your read my first TG, I want to say thank you again to NativeTex for picking up the torch for Allen/Dippy Dawg. I believe all of you agree he did a fantastic job. I hope that I can pick up the torch and carry on in a similar way. I know I have BIG shoes to fill, but I hope to continue Allen and NT’s legacy. I’ve grown to really love this every day message. It has been the first thing I read on OB each day.

You will see some Bible references at the end of most TG’s. I suggest you use your mouse to highlight the reference, then right click the highlighted reference, and choose Search Google for…to easily find it. So, here it goes…

“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” — Eleanor Roosevelt

Back in grade and high school, I suspect many of us cared too much about what others thought about us and maybe this has carried over into our adulthood. I have a friend that is so self-conscious, she can’t enjoy life. She is always putting herself down or comparing herself to her peers. Sometimes this can come from parental criticism while growing up, i.e. if you are never told how valuable or special you are from those who are your caretakers, why would you think any better of yourself? This can lead to all kinds of destructive behavior, drug use, self-social ostracizing, and unhappiness.

Our Creator tells us that all of us were fearfully and wonderfully made, marvelous are His works, and our soul knows well. I believe we forget this at times and listen too much to the world or those around us that don’t have our best interests.

We need to remember whose opinion matters most…our Creator’s. We have value and a purpose. Sure we are not perfect, but we have the potential to become better each day if we seek the will of our Creator.

Know that you are loved deeply and have value!

I hope you all have a great start to your week.

Psalm 139:14
