“Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow; it only saps today of its strength.” —A.J. Cronin

We are in the middle of a warm month, a real HOT one for many of us who reside in Texas, can I get an AMEN? The heat can give us some things to WORRY about, i.e., will the electrical grid hold up so that I have AC, will my AC units survive the rest of the summer? Can I afford to replace my AC’s if they break? I know, shut up Sundance, I got enough to worry about!

I’m not trying to add to your worry list, but rather the above is an example of how at times our minds can quickly move from calm to worry.

I have found that it’s usually because I’m thinking of more than one thing and they start to pile up in my mind and it starts to overwhelm my thoughts.

So, what are we to do if we become overwhelmed with worries?

Our Creator tells us…Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Also, we need to trust our Creator and not lean on our own understanding, but acknowledge Him and He will make our path in life straight.

I encourage you to take each day’s trial one at a time. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Philippians 4:6-7, John 14:27, Hebrews 13:6, Proverbs 3:5-6
