“He who laughs most learns best.” —John Cleese

John Cleese has been one of my favorite comedians as part of the Monty Python show. I can’t count how many times I’ve laughed until my belly ached watching him in various skits.

“It’s true: laughter is strong medicine. It draws people together in ways that trigger healthy physical and emotional changes in the body. Laughter strengthens your immune system, boosts mood, diminishes pain, and protects you from the damaging effects of stress.

Nothing works faster or more dependably to bring your mind and body back into balance than a good laugh. Humor lightens your burdens, inspires hope, connects you to others, and keeps you grounded, focused, and alert. It also helps you release anger and forgive sooner.” Source: HelpGuide.org

Laughter can help you change your perspective. When we are in a better mental state, we can learn more which is how I interpret what John Cleese was saying in his quote. If we are constantly under stress or angry, it’s hard to listen to others who have things we can learn from that will help us be better people.

Proverbs 17:22

I pray you all can start your weekend with the gift of laughter.
