Take a deep breath and remember where you are right now isn't where you're going to end up." — Joe Duncan

With the news of the stock market dropping many of us may be worried not only about our financial health, but the state of the world we live in at this point in time.

I have a very good broker whom I’ve worked with since the early 2000’s and I used to call him in a panic when days like we’ve had this week occur. He always reassured me that “drama in the market is good for a balanced portfolio”. So I stopped calling him and just let him take advantage of the drama.

When things seem to be going all wrong, this is a time I like to affirm my trust in my Creator. I try to calmly bring distressing matters to Him and leave them in His capable hands. Then, I do the next thing and that is to stay in touch with Him with trusting prayers and resting in His control.

As I trust in Him, He promises to make my feet like the feet of a deer, enabling me to walk and make progress upon my high places of trouble, suffering or responsibility.

Psalm 18:33 & Habakkuk 3:17-19

It’s time to trust, not panic!
