“Somewhere Out There, Somebody Wishes They Were You.”
By the band, Adelina’s Way
Life can be hard at times, especially when it seems nothing is going our way. Maybe we’re having troubles at work. Maybe we’re having problems at home. Maybe that light in the dark is not guiding us to safety, but towards danger.
No matter how hard you think your life is, look around. First look at all the things you have, all the blessings you have. Then look at every one around you. Many people are less fortunate, and have a life that is much worse than anything we could ever imagine.
There’s the family around the corner who can’t pay the electricity bill because the primary provider was laid off and can’t find work. There’s the coworker whose spouse is dealing with an incurable disease. There’s the homeless person who only has a piece of cardboard and a thin blanket for keeping warm in the freezing cold. The list can go on and on.
However, somewhere in that endless group of people is someone who would trade places with you in a New York minute. Think about that. If your situation is truly as bad as you think is why would anyone want to change places with you? What are you not seeing?
As Sundance reminded us not long ago, we should be thankful for our blessings each and every day because….
Blessings and love,
Mrs. T-Sipper
P.S. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and read the Gifts written by @Bmk1989 and me. Sundance will be back tomorrow.
