Making Amends
There are times in life when we say or do something that causes hurt/pain to a family member or a close friend. We may not know exactly what we said or did, but we know that something is not right.
Sometimes the mistake can be corrected quickly, other times months, maybe years pass before the hurt can be repaired, and saddest of all is when we are too late.
As soon as you think or know a problem exists, don’t hesitate to ask, “What did I do? What can I do, or need to do to repair this?” And when your friend or family member begins to respond, listen. Listen carefully and purposefully. Then do the things, make the changes that will mend the damage.
The longer we wait, the harder it will be to make amends.
Blessings and love,
