Scars Remind us Where We've been
"... And to anyone who has felt alone or unworthy, know that you are not. We are all imperfectly perfect."
Sully Erna, Godsmack
Our scars remind us of the life we've lived, but they do not represent a path to the future.
Every one has scars. Some are of our own making while others were given to us. Some are visible. Some are invisible. Some were intentional. Some were unintentional. How we got the scars doesn't matter, but each one has left a mark.
What does matter is what we do going forward. Do we let the past hold us back? Do we let it define us? Or do we take the opportunity we have each day to forge a new path and become a better person, a better version of ourselves?
How will we handle the future? Will we let our scars become an anchor, or will we use them as a guide?
Blessings and love,
Mrs T-Sipper 1972
