INDIANAPOLIS – Former University of Texas offensive tackle Connor Williams believes Tom Herman is the coach to finally turn around a Longhorns program that had plunged into mediocrity.
Williams, who left the Longhorns after his injury-plagued junior season, is confident Herman can restore them to national prominence.
"I believe he's instilling a strong culture that's going to last, and I feel like the team is on the rise," Williams said Thursday at the combine. "It was a big transition year, a big building block.
"I believe they're on the right page. It's a winning program."

Not that I disagree, but what else was he supposed to say? yea he isn't good for the program and that I don't think he will get them back?
He didn't have to elaborate. He could've just said they're on the right path.
I also remember someone on the board saying that he was forced to play after he was cleared. I guess his comments don't show no ill will towards the staff or Herman.
