Texas football coach Tom Herman said sophomore quarterback Sam Ehlinger fully participated in practice this week and will start against Oklahoma State, barring any setbacks.

"I would expect, barring any setbacks, that he'll be ready to go," Herman said. "Threw the ball well. He got a little sore yesterday, which can tend to happen when you go an entire week without throwing the football, and pick it and throw it, whatever he did, 50 times yesterday. King of work through that. It was more soreness in the throwing part of the shoulder, the rotater cuff, the shoulder muscles, all that stuff, than it was the actual injury int he AC joint.

"He feels confident, and we do as well. We'll continue to see how he does tonight, and tomorrow when he wakes up. I feel pretty good about that."

To be clear, I asked Herman if Ehlinger would start or simply participate against Oklahoma State. Herman appreciated the desire for clarity and said barring any setbacks, Ehlinger will start.

In addition, Herman said cornerback Davante Davis, cornerback Kris Boyd and receiver Lil' Jordan Humphrey will miss at least one series for arriving late to a team function.

Herman expects Anthony Cook and Kobe Boyce to step for Davis and Boyd.

"I wouldn't be surprised to see to see some Jalen Green in there as well," Herman said.

Joshua Moore fell on his shoulder during Wednesday's practice, and Herman expects his receiver to miss a significant amount of time. Herman said Moore has a sever shoulder sprain.

However, cornerback Josh Thompson (knee) is good to go against Oklahoma State, according to Herman.
