Everything in this article seems to be spot on, However instead of worrying about this stuff, he should be worried about his ass, getting the team ready instead of playing around with Politics, If he don't win Conference this yr, things are gonna turn bad for him Coachwisem or not, His actions everyday show his players that he's on their side, no more need to be said, if we plan on winning next yr then its time to start, other Coaches have had loose mouth and all of them caught hell for it, say what ya want, but all this community turmoil will end soon and we be back biz as usual, I just hope Tom is!

He has to do pressers...he answers the questions. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that most, if not all, coaches just want to coach and not have to worry about all the shit going on right now. But, they're smack in the middle whether they like it or not.

Its ok weev as long as they winning, "Snap" the limb broke...LOL

Herman needs to keep everything in perspective, he’s all over the place. Just because a guy is a great athlete doesn’t mean you would hire him to run your company. First and foremost, I am cheering on great athletes when I watch football. Football players aren’t recruited because of their business acumen, they’re recruited because of their athletic abilities.

Joe Mixon is a perfect example here.

1 - Why?
2 - Why are questions about racism political? Like wtf? lol
3 - Herman handled it masterfully. If you're feelings are hurt, maybe you should take some time to self-reflect.
How about this for self reflection. Quit stalking me. I can have a f-ing opinion. If you don’t like mine then ignore it.

You might change your opinion if we lose a lotta games this season, but, the shape we are in now. everything should be geared to Football and nothing else, seems like a Coach that stood to lose a Premier job and a shitload of money would realize that if he wants to win at all cost, it seems like Coaches that promise to win at Texas don't last long if they don't...;)

Stalking you? lol, how did you arrive at that?

I'm assuming Herman hurt your feelings with what was said, or you somehow think racism is a liberal vs. conservative thing?

Just trying to have a conversation here brushy.

Bell, I know this is hard to believe, but there are people out there that are against interracial marriage/relationship. Lots of them. And there are people out there that don't want to see a black man in a position of leadership.

Those people exist. And some of them probably watch and cheer on Texas football players. That is who TH was talking to.

And a lot of TX fans didn't think Vince could win a nc and it wasn't till after the RB that they finally admitted they were wrong.

Here's a story you'll like hearing. Remember Dominick Bustamante he was a lineman that played for us during the Macovic era. My dad and brothers used to sit on the 50 yard line and we sat with lot of Archie Bunkers. Anyway one of these guys who was from Corpus Christi used to go into a tirade on DB. He was no good, he was only there because of affirmative action, racist slurs you name it. He wasn't an NFL caliber player but he was decent ol for us he started 3 years for us.

Pathetic, just pathetic.

Yes there are people against interracial dating. Both black and white.

DB was a good player in HS here in Corpus, he was good enough to play for Texas, if ya want a authority on him ask clob...who knows DB very well...and it was the 94 team for DB

He was a good player he started for 3 years and one of those teams won a conference title. He was recruited as a dl. You remember Bam Morris he was big bull rb for TT, good enough to start for the Steelers when they went to the SB, about 6'2" 250 lbs. That being said DB was a dt his freshman season. Against TT he hit BM so hard I swear I heard it on tv. They were on their 1 yl and the ball just flew in the air somebody caught it in the air for an easy td. Oh and Bam Morris? he was knocked out of the game on that play. But JM always put the good players on offense. He should have stayed there it was his best position. But all in all he was a good Longhorn. Those rednecks were wrong he was no token Hispanic.

For a dead guy you talk/ write a lot.. Ever thought about haunting the other teams locker room.. Maybe pushing the kicker on a few extra point attempts or tripping an opposing receiver as he is about to make a big catch..?? I mean what is the point of having a dead guy on your team if he is lazy as hell..??

Dom could flat out play. He was moved to offensive line because many members of the "Class of Beef" either didn't pan out or got injured. If Dom would have stayed at DL he probably would have been a mid round draft pick and played 5-7 years in the league. And he wasn't 6-2, he was every bit of 6-6.

They don't want to participate in recruiting or interacting with alumni if their demands aren't met. Brilliant. Who do they think is going to fund their paychecks -- other students? Guess they really aren't interested in a college payday after all.

Boys, i am 100% done with NFL and NBA. I'll never spend another dime on Cardinals gear or Suns gear . . . and **** my once beloved Carolina Panthers too. They can all eat sheet and die. Not another dime from me EVER. And all of you know why I now feel this way. Could my Horns be next on the chopping block???

I will not apologize EVER for being born male, straight or white and **** anyone who says I should. And kneeling to another human . . . I'll gut you like a deer if you even ask. And I don't give 2 sheets if your great grand daddy was a slave, boo ****ing hoo, get over it already.

There's a war coming guys, perhaps its already here, and I'm ready for it. We're in the middle of an attempted coup by Marxist bent on pitting Americans against one another and bringing down the best nation on earth. OK, fine . . . BRING IT! Last time I went hunting I repeatedly killed Jack rabbits at 200 - 300 yards with a 22 rifle, no scope. How far away could i kill a 6 ft marxist asshole with my 30.06? Like I said . . . BRING IT!

Are you paying attention UT? How bout you Brennan? Eagles has picked the Marxist, fine. What about you UT, what side you gonna pick? I'm watching and I won't forget if you choose poorly . . . and I'm not the only one. I'M DONE BEING NICE. Give me liberty or give me death. Now where is my AR? I think I need to go to the range.

The players fought and fought to receive financial compensation for their likeness and for being an athlete.

They've scored a huge victory.

And now they are about to piss this massive victory away by choosing to die on a hill that doesn't even exist. Changing a fight song that 99.99% of people couldn't tell you was a satirical play on "I've been working on the railroad" just because Robert E Lee said "the eyes of the south are upon you" once--- is, I'm sorry, just fvcking dumb. Robert E Lee also loved milk in his coffee. Is coffee with milk now verboten? Hitler's favorite animal at the Berlin Zoo was an aligator that just happened to die last week at the age of 84. Was that a Nazi Aligator?

I'm sorry Cali--- but some things can be taken a tad bit too far.

Alright I mistook this for another thread I posted on. But I'll repeat what I said there. Everybody needs to sit in the shade and chill they're not going to change the Eyes of Texas and of that I am certain.

And I agree the likelihood of that is very low. And I also agree that "non POC" need to sit in the shade right now. This is a Black community thing that's going on right now. We white people just need to sit back and let their voices be heard. Nothing says "unintentional racism" like white people running to the front of the line to champion black causes. It's akin to saying "welp, you black folks is too stupid or disorganized or uneducated to stand up for yourself, so you need Whitey McCrackerson to do it for you. So here we come to your rescue helpless black folks!". <----- That right there is a form of racism. Either AA's are capable of fighting their own battles and staking their own claims to what they believe, or they aren't. And every white person rushing to the front to steal away a camera or news article is simply using another form of racism to take that moment away from a POC. It's the WORST kind of racism.

The "pity" form.
