America is a weak and divided Country today - this not by happen chance it’s the result of the fatally flawed leadership of Donald Trump. The fundamental basis for Trump’s disastrous reign lies in two core impulses that embody the essence of President Trump; Denial of reality/shaping a false reality and constant efforts to divide.
It was on full display yesterday at the White House in a fascinating press conference. The POTUS divided the fatalities our nation has endured from COVID-19 into two categories, blue state fatalities and red state fatalities (he actually had charts made up.) Then he told us the CDC head was wrong and confused and he shared his false reality with America while dividing us again on mask usage.
In a National crisis the two most important things are facing the reality of the problem so that it can be properly managed/solved AND uniting the country toward the common goal utilizing the solutions derived by having the best understanding of the reality of the situation.
In simple terms Donald Trump is a bullshitter and a divider and that’s the last thing America needs, especially now. The Covid crisis is not going away any time soon, we still have a long way to go even under the best (realistic) predictions, furthermore we will face tremendous hurdles economically for several more years as the bills come due and the Federal Government struggles with the crushing debt load.
America needs a President who will tell the truth and ask of Americans while making real efforts to unite America.
