I’ve seen this said by several posters on the left. Some are all in. Some say just our Air Force should go in.
Regardless, I’m really surprised at the cavalier approach some on the left in this forum have taken towards using our military for direct action in this conflict.
1. Our troops aren’t exactly chomping at the bit to go fight the Russians in Ukraine and Eastern Europe. I don’t think many signed up for that.
2. There will be lives lost. More Russian than ours obviously but we will lose sons and daughters.
To those that take that view I’d ask you to reconsider and really think about the impact of doing something like that. We should use our brave men and women primarily as a deterrent and then as a last resort. They will absolutely do what is ordered and fight bravely. Some will not make it and while that’s part of the job it’s up to the American people and our elected leaders to use that resource cautiously.
