Texas redshirt freshman quarterback Quinn Ewers is taking positive steps toward playing in his first game since sustaining two sprains in his clavicle against Alabama on September 10.
Ewers has participated in practice this week and multiple sources told me the quarterback is trending in the right direction to start against Oklahoma on Saturday. I was told Ewers looks as close to normal during practice since sustaining the injury.
In addition, I was told Ewers is experiencing a little soreness after practice this week. However, his soreness is less painful than the discomfort Ewers endured previously.
Everyone close to the situation is optimistic Ewers will not experience any setbacks and continues on the current path back to the field.
