This is a surprising bit of sanity from the UK.
An education panel reported that the concept of gender identity is highly contested and that it's confusing to young children. It further states that "Biological sex is the basis of relationship, sex and health education."
Teachers will be able to teach their students about both sexual orientation and gender reassignment, which are undisputed facts.
But no longer will they be able to teach children that they can be "born in the wrong body."
There is to be no discussion of sex in the classroom until year 9 (13-14y/o).
