Under Armour and Army high school bowl game.

Does anyone know if Texas has a chance with any of the recruits in the under armour game?

Nik Bonnito was the only player announcing that we were after. But we had concluded he was going to pick OU a while back. After Chip Brown's smear article came out.

Other than are signees and commits there really isn't anyone there we are after. Nick Petit-Frere is a 5 star OL we are trying to make a push with but that's a long shot.

Ryan Bridges on twitter has been posting clips of all the big plays by Texas commits.

BJ Foster and Overshown have been laying the wood in run support. Foster had a fantastic hit on a deep pass. Came across the field and just lit the guy up as the ball arrived. He caused a fumble on the first drive with a big hit. Had a gimme interception but then fumbled on the return.

Keondre Coburn is a legit DT. A guy that could play the Poona Ford role well down the road. For a guy his size he shows a great motor and some legit speed.

A few nice sideline catches by Woodard.

Not much from Epps or Ingram and didn't hear Adeoye or Jamison's names very often on D.

It's a crying shame that you can't head hunt on D anymore.

There was some head hunting in the UA game, that's for sure. Funny seeing how these uber competitive high schoolers play in an all star game versus the pros in the Pro Bowl.

There were some late hits out of bounds and Foster and Overshown both lit up QBs on scrambles when they were headed to the ground or out of bounds. Big12 Qbs better learn to slide.

That hit Foster made on the WR going in for the TD was awesome. Separated him from the ball without penalty.

Yup, some have said it would be a targeting penalty though. I could definitely see it getting called that way in college. It was your prototypical safety pass break up though, lead with shoulder I thought.

Heck, if Overshown and Foster get penalties now and then, I'm okay with it. Very valuable to make WRs and QBs concerned about that big hit.

It would have been called targeting most likely. They'll be coached on this stuff next year though.
