Seems a little high, but the numbers could be close.
Limitations in the Data:First, the data is from 2022. But, that is all we have to go on.Second, there is no way to know which schools will opt-in to the settlement. All P4 schools are automatically in, but some non-P4 schools may opt-out and not be subject to roster limits.Third, the data does not account for schools or conferences that intend to go below the limits. For example the SEC announced it will collusively ignore the proposed limit of 30 and impose conference wide limits of 22.
