Despite repeated proclamations every decade since the 70's that U.S. soccer is about to explode, it's performance on the world stage has been to put it kindly disappointing. Our best finish in World Cup is a fourth place back in 1930. Hell even aggy has a more recent title . I guess our best athletes just don't care about soccer outside of the ladies. I'm not sure what is spent on the USMNT but that investment return rivals the Jimbo contract.
