Had a convo with someone who works closely in one of the Deans office and was told that the Deans are frustrated with the President selection process because it’s been driven by the BOR entirely. Usually there’d be a search committee or something a little more inclusionary, but my takeaway is that Eltife has his paws all over this to find as close of a comp to Hartzell as possible. Nothing groundbreaking, but encouraging that someone who gets it is at the wheel.
