So besides the win on the field did we win over those recruits in the stands or sidelines? Sure hope we did! Game day looked bad ass.

Burnt Orange Nation caught up with numerous prospects following the win. Here’s what they had to say:

Kenyatta Watson II — 4-star CB — Loganville (Ga.) Grayson — Texas Commit: “Big win and the team played with energy.”

Marques Caldwell – 3-star CB – Alvin – Texas commit: “The game was electric, everything was amazing. That’s what happens when you play together as a team.”

Peter Mpagi – 3-star DE – George Ranch — Texas commit: “So I only saw like the second half, but from what I saw, the defensive line really did good with pressure and pursuit. The atmosphere looked awesome. Dominant victory. If we play like that every game, we’re easily a 10-2 team.”

T’Vondre Sweat – 3-star DE – Huntsville – Texas commit: “I thought it was a great game. The defensive line did great, had pressure on the quarterback and I feel like when they leave I have chance of doing the same thing they’re doing.”

Noah Cain – 4-star RB – IMG Academy: “Big win for them... I see them heading in the right direction.”

Elijah Higgins – 4-star WR – Austin Bowie: “I had a great time. The offense got rolling and the receivers got the balls in their hands. The atmosphere was ridiculous”

Jake Majors – 3-star OT -- Prosper: “I thought the atmosphere was amazing and the game overall was a good one, especially seeing Texas beat USC like they did. Well-deserved for them.”

Donovan Jackson – 4-star OT – Bellaire Episcopal: “It was an amazing experience. I’ve never been to a game in Austin, but it was eye opening how physical and tough the Texas team is.”

Hayden Conner – 4-star OT – Katy Taylor: “It was a really special night and had a complete different feel than my trip last year. The student section was crazy. Really enjoyed the whole experience, especially the time in the locker room with the offensive line group after the game. It was amazing to get an offer during pregame from Coach Herman before an important game like yesterday.”

Bryce Foster – 4-star OT – Katy Taylor: “The game was a lot of fun. From getting to talk to [Tom Herman] before the game to celebrating in the locker room after. The offensive line really dominated and I love seeing that.”

Reuben Fatheree II – 4-star OT – Richmond Foster: “It was an awesome atmosphere... The student section was crazy. Had a blast!!”

Shadrach Banks – 4-star – ATH – North Shore: “It was good I had a lot of fun and hope to come back”

Avery Helm – 3-star CB – Fort Bend Marshall: “Awesome win loved the intensity of the defense!! Great fight”

Tunmise Adeleye – DE – Katy Tompkins: “The game was great. I’m honestly just surprised, there was no indication of me getting an offer today, but I’m grateful that Coach Herman is willing to invest in me so early in my high school career.”

Jalen Milroe – QB – Katy Tompkins: “The atmosphere was electric and the game was crazy! It was good to see Texas walk away with the win.”

LaTrell Neville – WR – Willowridge: “Man I loved every second of it. It always feels like home when I go on the Forty Acres. The love is real, I have a strong relationship the whole coaching staff so it’s always a good time. One thing I can say is I have much respect for junior receiver Colin Johnson, big time play maker.”

Anyone else feel like Noah Cain's comments are somewhat non-committal and distant, using the terms "they" instead of "we", "us", or "Texas"?
Some kids are coming just for the visit and have their mind made up. We just have to keep winning, showing them love and hope the schools that they are liking, starting to pay more attention to other kids instead of them. Also, other factors with coaches on the hot seat and schools over recruiting positions
