Long story short,
Got rear ended on 45 on Tuesday.
Traffic had slowed down due to a wreck further up the road and traffic was being filtered down to one lane.
I was going 30mph and he rear ended me at about 80.
Other than body aches physically I'm fine. Got the estimate and the repairs are going to cost more than the vehicle is worth, so just a matter of time until the insurance totals it out.
Now here is the crappy part. The guy had no insurance. So I'm having to go through my own to deal with this.
So question is, is it worth trying to take this guy to civil court to try and recover some money, seeing that the car was completely paid off, and now I'm going to have to get a new car and have a car payment again.
This is literally the first time I've had an accident as an adult and having to deal with this situation.
