Rodney Terry gave a Chendall Weaver injury update today, stating that he is still out indefinitely and is working with the best Trainers in the Country. With that being said, I wouldn’t expect Weaver back against the Aggies and it will be interesting to see how long he will be out for.

When asked about Ball movement/Offensive Flow Coach Terry states they have emphasized making the simple plays and get the ball moving, says in a perfect world you want to have great space, move the ball side to side, and trust your teammates and try not to get speed up and put the defense in a compromising position.

When asked if Tre Johnson’s effort defensively is a byproduct of his rough stretches offensively, Terry stated that it could be a little bit of the reasoning, he highlighted a moment with Max Abmas last year during a conference flight emphasizing when to appropriately exert so much effort defensively knowing they would need offensively and wants Tre to be the same way.

Rodney Terry liked the effort and grit the Longhorns showed for 40 minutes against Missouri and added that it was one of their more complete games of the season yet in terms of effort. Reiterated, that they made a lot of competitive plays against Missouri and believes that can transfer not only against the Aggies, but the rest of the season as well.

Texas hosts the 13th ranked Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday, January 25th, at 1:30PM CT on ESPN 2. Aggies come into this matchup ranked 15th in KenPom, while having the 7th rated Defense and #1 in Off. Rebound percentage.
