I just communicated with someone close to 5-star UT linebacker signee Erick Fowler. Here's the nutshell version of what I was told ...
Fowler took his final exam of summer school today. He is expecting to get the results tomorrow, possibly by noon.
People close to the standout out of Manor said Fowler feels he did very well on the final exam, which would put him in position to get a quick approval from the NCAA Clearinghouse and allow him to join the Horns for practices in the very near future.
"He did well on his final test. Should see the Horns soon," I was told tonight.
This one's not yet official, but people close to Fowler believe he is close to the finish line and the end result will be positive. We'll obviously pass along any updates we get.
