You all never cease to amaze me with your knowledge on some topics, so I figured I'd give it a go ...
My mother-in-law owns land in Oklahoma that lies over the Arbuckle-Simpson Aquifer. The state of Oklahoma has put a strict limitation on how much water can be used (.2 acre feet per year or something) but the person who owns the land next to hers sells his water to a sand company for a decent profit.
She was curious about doing the same, and since she's (fairly) recently widowed and recently moved to Central Texas, all the questions now seem to go through me.
Any knowledgeable folks on here about where I'd start as far as telling her who to contact to sell her underground water? I'd read that local municipalities would be a potential buyer, but I wouldn't even know who to tell her to contact.
Appreciate any suggestions on this one since I'm clueless. Feel free to email me at jason@orangebloods.com if you have any ideas I can pass on to her.
