The Longhorns (8-2, 2-1) were the hot potato of scheduling this week. The OU (sux) game originally scheduled for Tuesday, 1/12, was postponed because the land thieves couldn't make the Big12 roster minimum threshold. Texas then came to an agreement to move the TCU game up from 01/20 to 01/14. Baylor then couldn't manage the minimum either and had to postpone their game agaist Kansas allowing the Longhorns to move the TCU game back to the 20th and slide Kansas (originally scheduled for 12/17 but postponed) in on 1/14.
Kansas (5-2, 1-0) is 11-29 against Texas and snapped a 15-game losing streak to the Horns last season with an 82-67 upset in Lawrence. That game was the writing on the wall for some of the most ardent Karen Aston supporters. The Jayhawks have 4 players averaging double digit points, led by G Holly Kersgieter's 16.8 (shooting 45.2% from 3). Kansas has size (3 players at 6' 5") but it's hard to tell what kind of minutes they log as the KU website stats are behind. The team hasn't played since 12/29.
The Longhorns return home after being embarrassed in Morgantown and, as expected, Vic was a bit heated on the first episode of 'Game Plan with Vic Schaefer' Monday night and still at the media session Wednesday: "We got our butts handed to us by 34". Texas will have C Lauren Ebo and G/F Audrey Warren back for this game.

Texas Stats:
- PF Charli Collier got into very early foul trouble Saturday resulting in her lowest scoring/rebounding performance of the season (5/3). Her 23.4 points and 10.7 rebounds still lead the team.
- PG Kyra Lambert is the only Longhorn with more than 15 3-pt attempts hitting better than 40% (9/22).
- The Longhorns had multiple issues against WVU but one of the most glaring was turnovers. Texas is in the Top 10 nationally in turnovers forced and turover margin (+9.1) but finished -1 against the Mountaineers, giving the ball away 20 times.
