This is where it gets tough. Typical letdown week after a huge game. UTSA is not a pushover. We may be down to our 3rd string QB and in all likelihood are beat up after the Alabama game.

Some of the past comes to memory: Texas has played well early in big games only to fall apart in the middle to later in the season. Last season was bad. We lost 5 in a row after the loss to OU.

UTSA has been really susceptible to the run this year so far. I suspect a heavy dose of Bijan and Roschon. They are coming off of a 3OT this Saturday and a 2OT game the week before.

I’m going the glass half full route, not negative. I think this was a confidence builder and inspires the team to practice and play harder. Yes, the QB situation is shaky, but something in my gut is telling Ewers is going to play.
The roadrunner’s are not a pushover, but they did lose a lot of talent from last year’s team, which was better.
I have feeling we’re going to see a heavy dose of BR and RJ.

I'd like to see a dose of Jonathan Brooks as well. He is fresh. It would spell our top 2 a bit.

if you can't tell the difference between the disappointment types after the ou game, and the disappointment after yesterday, i don't know what to tell you. last year's was "oh crap again!", and yesterday's was more "see, look how good we can be." there are different levels.

I think UTSA is very good and Jeff Traylor has done a very good job there. With that said I think some of you all are giving them a little too much credit. Texas will win, and they’ll win by multiple scores.

A game I'll definitely watch.
