**OFFICIAL TEXAS vs the Directional school in SA gameday thread of avoidable trapdoors**

There it is...the announcers asking about QB controversy. Applewhite Simms anyone ?

I did it throwing a baseball. Who knows
Were you doing hundreds or thousands of sit-ups each weak? Working core drills with medicine balls and trainers?

I know first hand how seriously the core exercises are taken by our training staff because, well, I've been through them. Granted it was several years ago but I'm told that little has changed. That 12 pound medical ball still fvcking sucks.

It just seems REALLY odd to me that he strains an abdominal muscle this early in the season. I mean, if this were the break between regular season and the bowl game-- meh-- I could see that--- MAYBE--- but coming right out of summer camp- followed by 3 months of summer workouts where you do core every day.... to the point where you start taking 4 sh!ts a day so you don't have to take 2 huge ones that need to be pushed out with any force.....

..... just seems odd.

Some guys are just more prone to injury and Quinn just seems to be that guy. Unfortunately for him this is going to really hurt his draft stock as well. 3 injuries now in 3 years is something that’s going to scare the help out of NFL GM’s.

Anybody that knows what they're watching can tell ewers >>>> arch
As it should be. Quinn has had the game reps. But anybody that knows what they’re looking at would also tell you Manning’s ceiling is higher than Quinn’s. I have 100% confidence if Manning has to play the next 2-3 games. Especially with Sark being able to game plan for a full week knowing Arch is gonna be the starter.

We have an embarrassment of riches at QB and I don’t think we ever have to worry about that position as long as Sark is here.

I only care about this year right now. With a healthy Quinn I think we win it all. I don’t think Manning can do that this year, he’s still too green.

I’m no doctor, but can’t an abdominal strain be cause by too much exercise? Maybe he pushed himself too hard during workouts and instead of backing off to heal a bit, ended up injuring himself. I still remember how kids his age think they’re bulletproof. Speaking from personal experience, it took a freaking lifetime to learn how to listen to my body. I still hit the gym daily, and have learned when to back off. When I was younger, I didn’t. I not only injured myself, but actually caused a couple permanent disabilities. I think it’s a possibility to consider.

I’m not disagreeing with that at all. Quinn gives us the best shot to win this year. But Arch is pretty far ahead of where Quinn was in year 2 if we’re being honest. I remember Quinn struggling against some really bad teams and defenses last season.

The schedule works out perfect to where Arch if has to start a couple games against inferior teams we will be just fine. I think the offense actually expands a little more with Arch because Sark is going to mix in more of those zone read concepts like we saw on his long TD run.

In a perfect world, Quinn is back healthy for OU.

Don’t get me wrong either, Arch is and will be very good. When Quinn is in Sark can go deeper in the playbook and he trusts Quinn to make the play from anywhere on the field. He gets to his 3rd reads and knows every check down while also navigating around in the pocket. When Arch came in it was all one read plays that were to the side of the field where the receiver was one on one to make it easier for Arch. On our side of the field they were scared to let him throw over the middle. Good teams will pick that apart pretty quick. The offense with Quinn is >>>>>> than the offense with Arch. UTSA didn’t have the speed to keep up with our receivers, Arch gets credit for making the throw but there was not much thinking that he had to do.
