Thursday 11:40 a.m. update:
The Longhorns just extended an offer to 2017 Washington (Pensacola, Florida) five-star offensive lineman Alex Leatherwood. The 6-5, 298-pound offensive tackle is currently committed to Alabama.

Wednesday 8:30 p.m. update - A couple quick-hitter notes ...
--- Crosby WR Mannie Netherly just confirmed to me via DM on twitter that he does want to take an official visit to Texas despite his LSU pledge. Netherly committed to LSU in late June but the Longhorns were very much in the mix before that announcement. Prior to that, he had been committed to Texas A&M.
Texas already has one WR commitment in Damion Miller but the Longhorns are expected to take at least one more, maybe two, so this is worth watching moving forward.
--- It has been reported that Kary Vincent, another LSU commitment, will visit Texas. That one could certainly happen, but Vincent told me nothing is locked in. "It's possible. Nothing set in stone," Vincent said via text.
--- Texas OL commitment Xavier Newman was at the game on Sunday and tells me he really enjoyed the experience, including getting to talk to Matt Mattox after the game. Newman's commitment has solidified from where it was in the summer, but he tells me he still is planning to take an official visit to Colorado, and possibly to Oklahoma.
Monday 7 p.m. update - Aledo OL Chuck Filiaga released a top 10 tonight. The Longhorns made the cut, and he had some pretty good things to say about his visit for the Notre Dame game.
Great job by Nick Krueger to get this exclusive interview:
Story: Rivals250 OL Chuck Filiaga names his Top 10
Monday 2:45 p.m. update - So much going on today, it's been hard to keep up.
A couple notes of interest ...
Five-star OT Walker Little tells me the visit for last night's game went very well. Little will next up hit Stanford's home game against USC on September 17.
Little has one official visit set up to see Florida State when the Seminoles host Clemson on October 29. His other visits will be to Texas, Stanford, Ole Miss, and maybe LSU.
Four-star LB Anthony Hines will take his official visit to Texas next weekend, per a source at UT. Hines took an official visit to Texas A&M last weekend.
Lastly, OL Chuck Filiaga is supposed to release a top 10 at some point today.
